army can be recruited

from the city

there aren't different units

some sort of city upgrades

for example

imagine a city has

a barbarian

and a rogue

as possible hereos

barbarian could have

super high base combat

so alone, that hero can take out strong units

and rush

etc

while the rogue has stealth or steal or some shit

while another hero may have

talents to icrease his amry value

by a %

so that hero may scale better late game

etc

so

combat is

sum of military power

=

hero combat power +army

modified by whatever is available

you get 2 numbers

like 5000 vs 3500

and then use a formula to determine

result

the more you poverwhelm your enemy

the less you lose

etc
